Nepenthes spec Doorman's top now is N. lamii!
Nepenthes spec. Doorman's Top 1 has turned out to be the true Nepenthes lamii!
Studiyng the holotypes it has turned out that there was quite a mixup in highland species from Papua. While generally a rather small and pretty climbing plant that's fairly widespread in the highlands of Papua was regarded N. lamii this has turned out to be false. Both, the holotype and isotype of N. lamii were collected on Doorman's top and clearly are specimens of the impressive and stout alpine plant that can be found on the summit of Mt. Doorman (=Anggemuk).
The species now is correctly labelled in the shop.
Nepenthes monticola
There was a mixup regarding two highland species from Papua. As a consequence of studying many type specimens filed as N. lamii this could be resolved and a new species was published recently - Nepenthes monticola.
In order to get some insight into the new status of N. lamii and the description of N. monticola, please see for details:

This work is part of an exquisitely beautiful and uniquely detailed two volume monograph that provides the first complete study of the full diversity, ecology and taxonomy of all recognised species of the three genera of Sarraceniaceae (Darlingtonia, Heliamphora and Sarracenia).
Sarraceniaceae of South America examines all species ofHeliamphora from the Guiana Highlands of Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana, including five new Heliamphora species along with three incompletely diagnosed Heliamphora taxa that have not been documented previously.
Complete with up-to-date conservation assessments, distribution maps and accounts of the diversity, wild ecology and habitats of all species, this monograph is a major anddefinitive taxonomic revision of all three genera of true pitcher plants of the New World.
Visually beautiful and comprehensive, these books will appeal to both general readers and specialists who are interested in the natural history, diversity, ecology and relationships of Darlingtonia, Heliamphora and Sarracenia.
